Our Mission

For over 25 years, David Gross and David Nelson, the founding partners in Gross and Nelson, have represented clients engaged in various aspects of the oil and gas industry. This has included representation of mineral and royalty owners, production companies both large and small, pipelines, service companies, refineries and processing companies and other related entities in the upstream and downstream parts of this industry. In 2007, they formed the law firm of Gross and Nelson to work together to continue to provide quality legal services to their industry clients.

The firm’s primary focus includes advising clients on regulatory issues presented before the Railroad Commission of Texas, the General Land Office, The Public Utility Commission, The Environmental Protection Agency, and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. In addition, both David Gross and David Nelson have extensive experience in energy sector litigation, both at the trial and appellate level.
